Production has kicked off for “John Rambo,” a prequel delving into the early years of the iconic action hero before the storyline of the 1982 classic “First Blood.” Filming is underway across various Thai locations, including Bangkok, Krabi, Phang Nga, and Kanchanaburi, utilizing a blend of urban settings and rugged terrains to vividly portray the origin story of the character.
In this new cinematic venture, actor Noah Centineo takes on the role of the young John Rambo, stepping into the shoes of the character originally brought to life by Sylvester Stallone. Jalmari Helander, known for directing the action thriller “Sisu,” is at the helm of this project, with the screenplay penned by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani. The prequel seeks to explore the key experiences that molded Rambo into one of the most enduring action heroes in cinema history. Although specific plot details remain scarce, the narrative is anticipated to center on the protagonist’s formative years and the defining events that set him on his future course.
