During his call with the United Kingdom’s newly appointed Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, Prince Faisal extended his congratulations on Miliband’s new role. The two leaders expressed a mutual desire to enhance bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the UK. Their conversation also encompassed a review of the current state of Saudi-UK relations, with an emphasis on strengthening joint initiatives to support both regional and international security frameworks.
In separate conversations, Prince Faisal spoke with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The focus of these discussions was the ongoing coordination among the Gulf states to maintain stability in the region. The ministers underscored the importance of continued collaboration in light of recent security challenges.
Additionally, the talks addressed the issue of hostile actions targeting Saudi Arabia and its neighboring countries, attributed to Iran and militias backed by Iran.
