Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attacks by Houthi forces on civilian and economic sites located in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. These incidents have been labeled as acts of aggression by the kingdom. The ministers have reiterated Saudi Arabia’s right to defend its sovereignty, along with the safety of its citizens and residents, in response to these attacks. Additionally, they have expressed disapproval of the Houthi strikes on commercial ships and the threat these pose to international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
In the aftermath of these attacks, which reportedly resulted in injuries to over 70 people, including women and children, Saudi authorities have been instructed to provide the highest level of medical care to those affected. The commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its citizens remains a top priority for the Saudi government as it deals with the repercussions of these hostilities across several cities.
During a Cabinet meeting held in Jeddah, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the ministers also addressed the ongoing developments in the Palestinian territories. The discussions centered on the collective Arab efforts aimed at halting Israeli activities in Jerusalem and curbing settlement expansion. The meeting served as a platform for the Crown Prince to update the ministers on his recent talks with the leaders of Egypt, Greece, and Oman.
In another significant development, the Cabinet celebrated the establishment of a strategic dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Germany. This agreement, forged between the foreign ministries of both nations, seeks to enhance consultation and coordination, reflecting a deepening of bilateral relations. The move underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering stronger international partnerships and promoting regional stability.
